The Oilers and Luv Ya Blue

The franchise started in 1960 as the Houston Oilers. A Chiefs-history source says Lamar Hunt wanted Columbia blue, but Bud Adams claimed it for the Oilers. The Titans themselves tie their new uniform to the "Luv Ya Blue" days of the Oilers, when running back Earl Campbell was the star. We could not confirm year-by-year Oilers uniform changes from a source we opened, so we do not list them.

The Titans years (1997–2025)

The franchise moved to Tennessee in 1997 and became the Titans in 1999 with a navy-led uniform and a flaming thumbtack logo. A 2018 update gave the team a navy helmet. In 2023 the Titans wore Oilers throwbacks, and fans liked them enough that they became the base of the next set.

The 2026 rebrand

In March 2026 the Titans unveiled a new logo and uniforms to go with a new head coach and a new stadium opening in 2027. Home jerseys are light blue with the team name across the chest, and road jerseys are white with "Tennessee." The helmet is white with a white facemask, a first. A "6-String Stripe" runs on the helmet, sleeves and pants, and three navy stars echo the Tennessee flag. A shield logo replaces the flaming thumbtack, and a secondary mark has "T" and "N" for Tennessee and Nashville. In Week 10, the team wears a navy Music City Rivalries uniform with a Titans Blue helmet against Jacksonville. For what to buy today, see Tennessee Titans jerseys 2026.

Looks you can wear today

We do not have a dedicated Oilers throwback page. The new light blue home and away styles carry the Oilers look, and the Rivalries jerseys cover the Music City design.
