About the Commanders alternate jersey
The all-black "Hail Raiser" alternate, unveiled in April 2026, has a low-gloss black helmet showing a spear through the W. In 2025 the team unveiled throwback alternates based on its 1980s set, with white jerseys, burgundy pants and a gold W helmet logo.
Commanders alternate uniforms, the Commanders alternate uniform and the Commanders Super Bowl era alternate uniform all mean these styles. The classic white Super Bowl-era look is now a primary uniform in 2026, so the alternate is mostly the black Hail Raiser.
When do the Commanders wear it in 2026?
The Hail Raiser is worn twice in 2026, both at home: Week 11 against the Bengals on Monday night and Week 15 against the Falcons. For game-by-game details, see the Washington Commanders jerseys 2026 guide.
