About the Lions black jersey
The Lions added a black alternate jersey in 2005. In 2009 the throwback replaced it as the permanent alternate, and on February 1, 2017 the team removed black from its identity. The 2024 set brought black back as "Motor City Muscle". Detroit wore it in Week 18 of 2024 against Minnesota and went 2 and 1 in it that season. Searches for the Lions black uniforms, all black uniforms or a blackout look describe this set with black pants.
In 2026 the Lions list the Rivalries jersey, Defend the Den, and keep the black alternate in the rotation, although the team schedule we found names no black game. The black styles here include Game, Limited and Salute to Service listings, and the Carbon Black Game style for St. Brown.
Home, away and other looks
Every Lions uniform pairs a jersey with a helmet, pants and socks, and the combination changes by game. Compare this style with the Lions home jerseys, Lions away jerseys, Lions alternate jerseys, Lions Rivalries jerseys. Pick a style, then a Nike tier, then a size with the NFL jersey size chart. Men’s, women’s and youth versions are available across the range, and the Nike Game vs Limited vs Elite guide explains the tiers.
