What the Rivalries program is
Rivalries is the NFL and Nike program that gives teams an alternate jersey for division matchups. The NFC West and AFC East began in 2025. Each team wears its Rivalries uniform at home against a division opponent. The 49ers' version is all black, which NBC Sports Bay Area called polarizing.
When do the 49ers wear it?
Once in 2026, in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams at Levi's Stadium on December 13. The team announced the date on July 21. The 49ers last wore the black uniform in Week 18 of 2025, a 13–3 loss to the Seahawks that decided the NFC's top seed, according to NBC Sports Bay Area.
Which Rivalries jersey to buy
Pick a player first. The Brock Purdy jersey and Fred Warner jersey are the two top hubs. For everyday wear, the 49ers home jersey and 49ers away jersey are better. For other special looks, see the 49ers alternate jerseys and the black 49ers jerseys.
