History of the black Jets jersey

The 2019 redesign brought back green helmets, added black, introduced "Gotham Green" and created the first black alternate uniform. A matte-black alternate helmet was added in 2022 after the NFL lifted its one-shell rule. In 2024 the Legacy Collection made the 1978–89-style design primary, and the black alternate became "Legacy Black." A Jets blackout jersey is this alternate or a fashion black colorway; check the product name.
