The Oilers derrick (1960 to 1998)
The Houston Oilers' debut logo was an oil-rig derrick, kept with only minor color changes until the 1999 rename. It was nicknamed "Ol' Riggy," a name dropped before the 1974 season. When the franchise moved to Tennessee in 1997, an alternate logo combined elements of the Tennessee state flag with the derrick.
The Titans "T" (1999 to 2025)
The 1999 logo was a circle with three stars, representing Tennessee's Grand Divisions, around a large "T" with a comet-like trail of flames. The team updated its uniforms in 2018, adding red and silver and a navy helmet, without changing the logo.
The 2026 rebrand
On March 12, 2026, the Titans unveiled a new logo with new uniforms that reference the franchise's historic roots and colors. The three-star shield ties to the Tennessee flag, and a secondary mark has the letters "T" and "N." Titans Blue became the primary color, with white, red and navy as secondary colors. Reports of a leaked logo drew mixed fan reactions before the reveal.
Titans helmet and logo placement
Helmets: blue (1960–1965), silver (1966–1971), blue (1972–1974), white (1975–1998 and the 1999–2017 Titans era), navy with a silver sword stripe (2018–2025). The 2026 primary helmet is white with a white facemask; a Titans Blue helmet goes with the Rivalries uniform.
Reading the Titans timeline: old logo, new logo
Fans search for the Titans logo, the Titans old logo and the Titans new logo, and this page answers all three. The newest entry is the last row of the table; earlier rows are older logos and wordmarks. A logo can change on the helmet, on the sleeves or on the chest at different times, so the same year can appear in more than one row. To date an older jersey, compare the product photo with the table: look at the wordmark, the sleeve mark and the facemask color. Where the sources we read disagree or give no year, the table leaves the year out rather than guess.
Logo changes and jersey changes
A logo and a jersey do not always change together. For the uniform side of the story, read the Tennessee Titans uniform history and the Tennessee Titans jerseys 2026 guide. For retired-player styles, see legends jerseys.
Old logo, new logo: which jersey to buy
If you like an older look, Tennessee Titans jerseys is the place to start. If you want what the team wears now, choose the current home or away jersey. Nike Game is the everyday tier and Limited adds sewn-on numbers; compare them in the Nike Game vs Limited vs Elite guide, and check the NFL jersey size chart. Men's, women's and youth sizes are available. Logo patches and decals vary by style, so look at the product photo before you order.
