The Rams jerseys 2026 guide shows which of these looks the team wears this year.

Cleveland and early Los Angeles (1936 to 1963)

The Rams played in Cleveland from 1936. According to Wikipedia, they debuted in 1937 in red and black and switched a year later to gold and royal blue. By the mid-1940s they wore gold jerseys with navy numbers. Fred Gehrke, a halfback who worked as a commercial artist, painted horns on the helmets in 1948, creating what became the first logo on an NFL helmet. Plastic helmets in 1949 let Riddell bake the horns into the shell. TV numbers arrived on the sleeves in 1956.

Blue and white, then yellow again (1964 to 1994)

In 1964 the Rams simplified to blue and white, and for several seasons they wore white at home. Names appeared on jersey backs in 1970. In 1973 yellow-gold returned, with curling horns on the sleeves and yellow pants with a blue-white-blue stripe. That royal blue and yellow look carried the team through its Anaheim years and into the move to St. Louis in 1995.

St. Louis and a return to Los Angeles (1995 to 2019)

On April 12, 2000 the St. Louis Rams introduced new logos, colors and uniforms: Millennium Blue and New Century Gold, with a charging ram head on the sleeves. The gold pants disappeared after Nike took over uniforms in 2012. The Rams returned to Los Angeles in 2016. In 2018 they announced a switch back to the royal blue and yellow throwback look for home games, and retired the navy and metallic gold set.

The SoFi era (2020 to today)

On March 23, 2020 the Rams unveiled a new "LA" logo with a ram's horn on the A. A new uniform followed on May 13, 2020, with Rams Royal, Sol and a bone-gray road jersey. In 2021 they introduced a white alternate based on their 1973 to 1999 road set. In 2022 white replaced bone as the main road jersey. In 2025 the team revealed a Midnight Blue Rivalries uniform. On April 16, 2026 gradients were removed and white pants added. On July 23 the Classic Sol and Fearsome White alternates followed.

Special uniforms and Color Rush

The Rams have used special uniforms for years. In 2009 they wore 1999 throwback jerseys against the Vikings and the Texans. During the Color Rush program they wore a throwback-style all-yellow uniform with blue numbers and yellow horns on the helmet. In 2021 they chose the white alternate with yellow pants as their Super Bowl LVI uniform. The Classic Sol jersey of 2026 pays homage to the 1951 championship team and pairs the yellow jersey with white pants and blue helmets.

Rams helmet history

The Rams helmet is the team’s mark. Helmets turned navy in 1947, and in 1948 Fred Gehrke painted yellow-gold horns on them, the first emblem on a pro football helmet. Plastic helmets arrived in 1949 and the horns were baked into the shell. Wider, bolder horns appeared in 1950, white horns on a blue and white scheme in 1964, and a decal version in 1973. Gray facemasks turned navy blue in 1981. For 2017 the Rams wore Millennium Blue helmets with white horns and a fan-voted white facemask, and the 2020 redesign introduced a metallic blue helmet with blue facemasks. The 2026 Fearsome White alternate uses a blue helmet with white horn decals, while Classic Sol uses the regular blue helmet with yellow horn decals.
