What each color is used for

The Baltimore Ravens colors are purple, black, metallic gold and white, with red as an accent in the logo. Purple is the main color and the one on the home jersey. Black is the helmet shell and the alternate jersey. Metallic gold is a small accent that now shows on the gold talon stripes of the Purple Rising helmet.

The Ravens colors also include Midnight Purple, a color-shifting material that the team introduced in The Next Flight on April 16, 2026. It appears on the numbers, sleeve shields and pant stripes, and it is meant to look like a raven’s feathers. We found no published HEX code for it.

How the colors changed

The Ravens began in 1996 in purple, black and metallic gold, and the owner at the time said the colors were inspired by Northwestern’s 1995 season. The helmets were black with purple talon stripes. A note on the color codes

The HEX and Pantone codes above come from Team Color Codes, a secondary source, because we could not reach a published Ravens brand guide. The RGB values are converted from the HEX codes so the three columns agree, and Pantone matches are approximations.
