Burgundy and gold are the franchise's original colors, in use since its early days as the Boston team, per Sportslogos. A different burgundy (#773141) is listed as the 1983 to 2020 shade, so the current one is darker. The 2022 rebrand kept burgundy and gold, and black joined as a uniform color for the all-black alternate. In 2026 the Hail Raiser alternate is all black.
