Jaguars retired number and Pride of the Jaguars
| Number | Honoree | Position | Honor |
|---|---|---|---|
| 71 | Tony Boselli | Offensive tackle | Retired October 9, 2022; first Pride of the Jaguars member; Hall of Fame |
| 8 | Mark Brunell | Quarterback | Pride of the Jaguars, announced 2013 |
| 82 | Jimmy Smith | Wide receiver | Pride of the Jaguars, 2016 |
| — | Tom Coughlin | Head coach | Pride of the Jaguars, announced December 2023 |
| 28 | Fred Taylor | Running back | Pride of the Jaguars |
Pride of the Jaguars is a separate honor from a retired number or enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The team’s own reporting and career galleries identify Brunell with 8, Smith with 82 and Taylor with 28; these are historical player numbers, not additional retirements. Coughlin’s dash denotes a head coach rather than a player jersey number. Wayne Weaver, the original owner, is also a member.

Famous numbers in Jaguars history
Number 71 is Boselli's, the left tackle who was the franchise's first draft pick. Fans also search for Jaguars players like Fred Taylor and Mark Brunell, but their numbers are not retired, so we point to the 2026 roster above for current choices. A number tells you the era, not the player, so always match it to a name.
Can you buy any number?
Yes. The Trevor Lawrence jersey and Travis Hunter jersey pages carry current numbers. A retired number is a tribute, not a current-player jersey. The NFL assigns number ranges by position, which affects which numbers a player can get. Our NFL jersey number rules guide covers those ranges. For team styles, start at the Jacksonville Jaguars jerseys page. All current jerseys here are Nike; legends and tribute styles are labeled on each page.
