How the Colts colors changed

The Colts took blue and white from the Dallas Texans when the franchise moved to Baltimore in 1953. A secondary source lists a different blue (#003087, Pantone 287 C) for the 1984 to 2001 logo. HEX, RGB and Pantone: what the codes mean

A HEX code, such as the ones above, is a six-character web color. RGB gives the same color as red, green and blue values from 0 to 255. Pantone (PMS) is a printing system, and a "C" after the number means the color is matched for coated paper. Use HEX or RGB for screens and a Pantone number when you talk to a printer. The same Colts color can look different on a jersey, in a logo and on a screen, because fabric, light and the display change how it reads.
